78 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, two concerts with a literary context will take place on Sunday, 10 September 2023 in the Grossmünster Cloister in Zurich. The Sinti musicians Markus Reinhardt (grandnephew of Django Reinhardt) and Rudi Rumstajn from Cologne, the Roma band Ssassa (conducted by Christian Fotsch) and musician Omer Nevo, rabbinical assistant of the Jewish Liberal Congregation Or Chadasch in Zurich, will play and sing. Literarily, the two concerts are based on excerpts from the orte edition Auf der Milchstrasse fahren wir davon. Poetry by Roma, Sinti and Yenish.
The concerts on 10 September will take place from 14.00 to 15.30 and from 16.30 to 18.00 and will be opened by Rabbi Ruven Bar Ephraim.
